We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to excel in our debt collection and invoicing operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medical claims submissions, as well as resolving payment issues and managing accounts receivable.

This position involves:

  • Submitting and tracking medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Ensuring claims accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
  • Recording payments and adjustments into the billing system.
  • Reviewing and addressing claim denials and rejections by analyzing reasons, correcting issues, and resubmitting claims.
  • Following up on outstanding accounts.
  • Reconciling accounts to ensure all payments, adjustments, and write-offs are accurately recorded.
  • Preparing and reviewing reports on accounts receivable.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Accurate data entry and meticulous record-keeping skills.
  • An understanding of medical codes and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with insurance companies.
  • Analytical skills to identify discrepancies or patterns in financial data.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a medical biller.
  • Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is required, with a focus on AR management.
