Job Title: Senior Linux Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive IT knowledge and previous experience maintaining and developing solutions in a large-scale environment.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for providing infrastructure support and maintaining highly available and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tune and enhance systems for optimal performance.
  • Automate daily routines to improve efficiency.
  • Deploy systems and ensure security and audit compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement applications scalability and redundancy.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Linux systems, scripting, and monitoring.
  • Manage public cloud services and resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 7-10 years of Linux experience and 5+ years in Private/Public Cloud.
  • Enterprise Linux expertise, including kernel tuning and OS monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with software project build automation and build/integration tools.
  • Proficient in Shell (bash, ksh) and Python scripting.
  • Working knowledge in orchestration and configuration management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge in public cloud (AWS) and infrastructure security services.
  • Good understanding of component placement for traditional 3-tier applications and microservices-based apps.
  • Experience with Linux Containerized environments and 'Infrastructure as Code' tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Application Containerization and Kubernetes Clusters.
  • Able to provide guidance on infrastructure movement techniques and identify top cloud architecture solutions.
  • Lead organization through cloud adoption and establish best practices.
  • Familiarity with Networking concepts on Public/Hybrid Clouds and agile methodologies.
  • Able to demonstrate work result evaluation in the Enterprise context and manage difficult situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team management proficiency.
  • Clear vision on strategy, road to success, and phases of delivery.
  • Work in a 24x7 environment.
