Job Description:
Sports Administration Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Sports Administration Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sports events, including internal and external competitions, as well as managing sports facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate HEC Competitions: Ensure LUMS teams participate in competitions, communicate with stakeholders, and plan logistics.
  • Event Management: Supervise setup and execution of major sports events, such as O Week Gala, NOP Gala, and Sports Fest.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of internal and external events, including dates, times, and participants.
  • Social Media and Digital Presence: Create and oversee social media platforms, manage content, and maintain the department's online presence.
  • Budget Management: Work with the Head of Department to finalize and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Facility Management: Supervise sports facilities, assign daily duties, and conduct regular inspections to ensure maintenance.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on sports wellness and recreation, provide insights, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Reporting: Create newsletters and video news, ensuring effective communication of sports highlights.
  • Credit Course Management: Manage, plan, coordinate, and upload courses/results on Zambeel.
  • Team Management: Work with the team, assign duties, and handle coaches and their programs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all sports activities and facilities adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and external partners.
  • Programme Development: Develop and implement new sports programs and initiatives to enhance student engagement and participation.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Create marketing strategies to promote sports events and activities, increasing visibility and participation.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members and coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the Sports Department, aligning with the institution's overall goals.
  • Student Support: Offer guidance and support to student-athletes, ensuring their academic and athletic needs are met.
  • Data Management: Collect, record, and analyze data related to sports activities and student participation to inform decision-making and improve programs.
