Job Title:

Medical Billing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and manage delinquent accounts for patient and insurance balances.
  • Resubmit charges, provide supporting documentation, and take corrective action.
  • Audit and appeal outstanding denials from insurance carriers.
  • Retrieve explanation of benefits to reconcile deposits and post payments efficiently.
  • Proactively identify and communicate denial trends.
  • Enter charges and payments into Electronic Health Records.
  • Coordinate with providers on incomplete or missing information for account adjudication.
  • Correct, complete, and process claims.
  • Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid accounts identified through aging reports.
  • Maintain communication and coordination with internal departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, writing, and active listening skills.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in customer support or documentation (minimum 1 year).
  • University degree or equivalent diploma.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, attention to detail, and pressure handling.
