Project Coordinator - District Health Initiative
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to support our team in district health initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and providing technical assistance to partners.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in assigned districts, ensuring coordination and liaison at the district and provincial level.
- Partnership Management: Assist in coordinating with project partners on a regular basis to ensure project deliverables and milestones are met.
- Training and Capacity Building: Organize and conduct orientation, inception, and dissemination workshops related to project activities in the district(s).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate one-to-one meetings with key stakeholders to develop follow-up action plans and facilitate their participation in meetings at the provincial/district level.
- Community Mobilization: Establish contacts and set up coordination mechanisms with public health facilities and community mobilizers at the district level to track gaps and address them.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and mentor district-level partners, assess their competency levels, identify areas needing support, and communicate them to the program team.
- Reporting and Documentation: Track performance indicators, success criteria, targets, and milestones, and compile this information into a presentable format for the program team.
- Data Collection: Collect data from health facilities or district offices based on requirements.
- Communication: Prepare and send weekly, monthly, quarterly updates as required by the program team.
- Representation: Represent the organization at conferences and other public forums when required.
- Education: Minimum master's degree in public health or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in program management within the non-profit sector, including experience working with implementing partners.
- Location: Experience working at the district level, preferably for health-related initiatives.
- Skills: Strong understanding of program design, monitoring, and evaluation, and stakeholder management.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, initiative, and willingness to learn.
- Availability: Availability to frequently travel across districts.
