Network Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and performance of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum possible service availability and performance
- Provision customer network services on core equipment
- Provide support services for Engineering and other technical teams
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a natural aptitude for dealing with people, and good network diagnostic skills. You will be able to work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues. Strong analytical skills and ability to collate and interpret data from various sources is essential. Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly is also required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12-18 months' experience in a Technical Support or similar role
- Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people
- Good network diagnostic skills
- BASIC LINUX CLI SKILLS
- BASIC SYS ADMIN SKILLS
The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn and develop new skills. You will be able to work on your own initiative, actively seek ways of improving existing systems and processes, and possess a 'can do' attitude. Co-operation with other teams and the ability to communicate problems to all levels of the organization as required is essential. Inform manager and senior management of status on all issues and initiatives for your team, and assist in creating/updating operational run-books are also key responsibilities.
