About the Role

As a High Performance Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for designing and developing major functional changes to existing software systems or new ones. This role requires someone with excellent problem-solving skills, experience in leading teams, and a strong understanding of distributed systems challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance systems using Java or other JVM languages.

  • Lead a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs.

  • Develop and implement best practices for coding, design, and operational excellence.

  • Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge.

  • Drive innovation and produce delightful experiences for customers.

  • Analyze data to make informed decisions and solve complex problems.

  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

  • 13-16 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in Java and other JVM languages.

  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

  • Understanding of distributed systems challenges, micro-service-based architectures, and asynchronous communication.

  • Experience with tools like Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, PagerDuty for alerting, metrics, and logging.

  • Familiarity with persistence and caching solutions like PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, Caffeine.

  • Practical knowledge of frameworks such as Spring WebFlux, Vert.x, Node.js.
