IT Network Systems Manager Summary

Job Description

Identify security vulnerabilities in operational procedures, assess technical opportunities, and promote more efficient processes.

  • Manage and supervise desktop support for multiple projects across workstations.
  • Understand advanced networking technologies, including IPV6, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, multicast, policy-based routing, ether-channel, QoS, traffic-shaping, load balancing, WAN Optimization, etc.
  • Have advanced knowledge of Cisco Nexus technologies such as vPC, VDC, Fabric Extension.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA, Firewalls, solid understanding of network utility services including TFTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SYSLOG, etc.
  • Understand advanced data center networking technologies and solutions including Data Center Interconnect, DR integration, etc.
  • Install Asterisk server from scratch.
  • Configure inbound and outbound dialing.
  • Monitor sip.conf, extensions.conf, and dialplan.
  • Troubleshoot problems created in Asterisk server and resolve them.
Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the IT Networks Manager is to oversee and direct the diverse internal infrastructure, network, server, system, security, and outsourced vendor related aspects of the information technology department.

  • Project management, cross-team development and participation, and long-term project execution.
  • Determine opportunity analysis of potential technical projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of infrastructure-related projects to ensure ongoing alignment with organization goals.
  • Coach, guide, lead and train staff.
  • Identify and advise on technical gaps and opportunities.
  • Attend division and team leader meetings, administer performance evaluations, and plan staff development.
  • Develop and continually optimize the utilization of all business systems, including network, hardware, software, etc., troubleshooting systems as needed.
  • Proactively recommend solutions.
