Overview of the Role

Ambitious Technical Professionals Sought for Global Automation Initiative

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced leader to spearhead our global automation project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge control and automation solutions.

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technical experts in designing, developing, and implementing state-of-the-art control and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and growth.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for various industries.
  • Maintain system integrity and performance through regular reviews, assessments, and quality checks.
  • Ensure timely and within-budget delivery by developing and maintaining automation project timelines.
  • Develop P&IDs and loop descriptions for various plants, processes, and/or equipment.
  • Create User Requirement Specifications.
  • Develop software and hardware design specifications.
  • Design, write, implement, test and document PLC, DCS and HMI software.
  • Develop control system validation/testing protocols.
  • Specify and purchase process instrumentation.
  • Specify and purchase PLCs, DCSs, drives, and other electrical components and equipment.
  • Develop electrical and control panel schematics.
  • Develop scope of supply documents.
  • Assist with estimates of man-hours required to complete projects.
  • Install, test, and start-up control systems on-site.
  • Train operators and engineers on control systems.

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics from a reputable institution.
  • A minimum of 7 – 8 years of practical experience working as an Automation Engineer/Lead Engineer delivering to Process Control System requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse technical team.
  • Experience of implementing automation/electrical solutions and writing software code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate lasting relationships with customers.
  • Familiarity with process control automation system (DCS/PLC/SCADA/Field Instrumentation) functions and applications.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and understanding of automation and engineering technologies.
  • Knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation, control system installation and implementation expertise in all project phases (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Integration, Testing, Startup).
