Job Title: Fleet Operations Coordinator

This role entails managing truck drivers' schedules and routes, scheduling freight pickups and deliveries, providing shipping details to customers, reviewing driver logs, documenting calls, deliveries, routes, and times for pickups and deliveries, completing related paperwork, handling customer complaints and inquiries, and negotiating rates and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Manage driver schedules, routes, and freight allocations.
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and provide necessary information.
  • Monitor and review driver performance, including logbooks and delivery records.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all transactions, including shipments, deliveries, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is an asset.
  • 1+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics planning, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, software, and transportation management systems (TMS) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
