Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions on a daily basis.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Maintain company ledgers and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments, and handle financial paperwork and filing.
  • Complete tax forms and ensure compliance with local and UK laws.
  • Monitor variances from projected budgets and make recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification.
  • Minimum two years' experience in accounting/finance field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
