Transport Maintenance Specialist

Our organization is seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our transport operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with drivers and workshop staff to ensure the efficient maintenance of buses and other transport vehicles.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules, diagnose issues, and maintain accurate records of repairs and service activities.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential faults and suggest corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain the inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring they are properly handled and stored.
- Develop and apply technical knowledge of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Workshop Manager to resolve technical issues and improve overall performance.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or Transport Engineering.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in basic vehicle mechanics, preventive maintenance, and workshop operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols and 6S methodology (desired).
