Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Department: Workshop (Transport Sector)

Reports To: Workshop Manager

Objective:

To ensure efficient maintenance of transport vehicles and equipment by supporting preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, improving workshop operations, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in routine maintenance, repair, and servicing of buses and transport vehicles.
  • Support preventive maintenance schedules and report issues to senior engineers.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs, spare parts usage, and service records.
  • Conduct inspections to identify faults and suggest corrective actions.
  • Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly handled and maintained.
  • Collaborate with drivers and operations staff for timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Comply with HSE protocols and ensure safety standards are followed during maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support in breakdown situations under the supervision of the Workshop Manager.
  • Learn and apply diagnostic tools and maintenance procedures under guidance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or Transport Engineering.
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in transport sector (bus/truck/automotive workshop).
  • Strong knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics, preventive maintenance, and workshop operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of HSE protocols and 6S methodology (preferred).

Pay: Rs45, Rs50,000.00 per month
