Insurance Processor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Insurance Processor. As an Insurance Processor, you will be responsible for overseeing policy transactions, handling inquiries from sales agents and customers, and working with underwriting staff to resolve coverage questions.

Salary:

$48,000-$50,000 per year, paid on an hourly basis.

Job Description:

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Policy Transactions: Review new business, changes, and renewals based on established guidelines.
  • Service Requests: Complete service requests accurately and efficiently, including entering information into computer systems.
  • Coverage Questions: Work with underwriting staff to resolve coverage questions.
  • Customer Inquiries: Answer inquiries from agents, customers, and third parties regarding policy or billing via various channels.
  • Maintaining Productivity: Maintain an acceptable productivity and quality level by working with your manager to understand processes and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Office Experience: Two years of office experience, preferably in property and casualty insurance.
  • PC Skills: Proficient PC skills, including accurate and speedy keyboarding.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, including excellent telephone skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Customer Service: A team player with proven customer service experience.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual Abilities: Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) are a plus.
