We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team.
Salary:Competitive salary package based on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:- Handover & Takeover: Ensure smooth transition of patient care during shift changes, including updates on patient files, medication charts, and investigation reports.
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care in a calm, courteous, and tactful manner, adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals.
- Quality of Care: Ensure quality of care by identifying areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve patient problems and needs through effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Medication Administration: Prepare medication requisitions and administer medication according to prescribed treatments.
- Infection Control: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies, medication procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Assistance During Rounds: Assist doctors/consultants during rounds and record instructions.
- Preparation for Procedures: Assist doctors with procedures, prepare patients physically and emotionally, and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Communication: Follow doctors' orders and raise concerns regarding prescribed treatments.
- Supply Management: Ensure that medical supplies are well stocked, stored properly, and readily available.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, especially for pre- and post-operative patients.
- Lab Procedures: Perform blood draws and other lab procedures on patients.
- Incident Reporting: Report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors, or untoward occurrences promptly.
- Leadership: Supervise Nurse Aids, Student Nurses, and other staff as required.
- Task Delegation: Perform delegated patient and non-patient tasks as directed by the Ward Incharge or Nursing Coordinator.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Certifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
