Job Overview

As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and safety of our research activities across the country. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage our security management program, including conducting risk assessments, surveys, and inspections.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols and procedures for all research sites and facilities.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability surveys to identify potential threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Review and provide recommendations on pre-award and award research funding requests to ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
  • Ensure the security of all research activities, movements of research teams, and compliance with recommended security measures.
  • Investigate security incidents related to research sites and operations, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain databases of security-related information, including notable individuals and influencers in areas where research activities are conducted.
  • Perform periodic inspections and maintenance of physical and electronic security equipment at research sites and facilities.
  • Develop and monitor security goals for research sites and operations, and present updates as required.
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for security and research staff on security protocols and procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A graduate degree from a recognized institution or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a research or academic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with knowledge of database management systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the country to conduct site visits and inspections.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu, with knowledge of local languages an asset.
