Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laboratory Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory tests.

  • You will be responsible for checking and processing laboratory tests prescribed by doctors, briefing patients about laboratory tests and procedures to ensure specimens are collected correctly, handing over laboratory test reports to concerned individuals after verifying details, handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining records of excess/shortage according to laboratory policy.
  • You will confirm test requirements with patients and provide necessary instructions for specimen collection, respond to telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests and scheduling appointments for special tests, and perform phlebotomy duties as required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist, excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, a strong command of computer use and basic applications, adequate knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures, and flexibility to perform shift duties.

The position is based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
