We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supercomputing Systems Manager to join our team.

">

About the Role:

">

The Supercomputing Systems Manager will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of Linux-based clusters using open-source tools. This includes creating and managing supercomputer user accounts and group policies, providing technical support to scientific users in utilizing HPC facilities, and configuring, installing, and troubleshooting scientific applications and workload managers on supercomputers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Install, configure, and manage Linux-based clusters using open-source tools.">
  • Create and manage supercomputer user accounts and group policies.">
  • Provide technical support to scientific users in utilizing HPC facilities.">
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot scientific applications and workload managers on supercomputers.">
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot cluster nodes as needed.">
  • Support scientific users in running simulations in serial/parallel environments on supercomputers.">
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot problems with supercomputers on a regular basis.">
  • Resolve day-to-day problems related to lab software and supercomputer facilities.">
  • Prepare and update Supercomputer usage manuals regularly.">
  • Prepare and update VPN connectivity manuals regularly.">
  • Assist in trainings and workshops related to supercomputing facilities.">
  • Backup and restore supercomputer data.">
  • Assess the compatibility of software with hardware and OS of supercomputers.">
  • Obtain compatible versions of software source code and identify dependencies, resolving all dependencies properly.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.">
  • Basic knowledge of Bash scripting.">
  • Basic knowledge of C programming.">
  • Familiarity with open-source tools and packages (Open HPC etc).">
  • Knowledge of HPC clusters/supercomputers.">
  • Understanding of open-source repositories (CentOS, RHEL, Rocky etc).">
  • Knowledge of DevOps/Kubernetes clusters.">
  • Familiarity with OpenStack (desirable).">
  • Experience with installation of Nvidia CUDA Toolkits and Drivers (desirable).">
