Supercomputing Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Supercomputing Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our supercomputer systems, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take their career to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux operating systems, Bash scripting, C programming, and familiarity with open-source tools and packages.

They will also have experience with HPC clusters and supercomputers, as well as knowledge of DevOps/Kubernetes clusters.

Additionally, the candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have strong communication skills.

The role involves installing, configuring, and managing Linux-based clusters using open-source tools, creating and managing user accounts and group policies, providing technical support to scientific users, configuring and troubleshooting scientific applications and workload managers, and monitoring performance and troubleshooting problems.

Key responsibilities include preparing and updating Supercomputer usage manuals and VPN connectivity manuals on a regular basis, assisting in training and workshops related to supercomputing facilities, backing up and restoring supercomputer data, assessing compatibility of software with hardware and OS, and obtaining compatible versions of software source code.

Other tasks may include resolving dependencies, troubleshooting issues, and working collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.

Applicants should have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering from a recognized university, with at least one year of experience in a relevant field.

A master's degree in a related field and two years of experience would be desirable.
