**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Director to lead our team in the Knitted Garments industry.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Drive a high-performing team to expedite the product development process from design to shipment, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop and execute new business strategies with fresh buyers, driving sales growth and expansion through effective product positioning and market analysis.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients while acquiring new customers to maintain a robust client base, leveraging excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure smooth execution of production sequences, determining delivery schedules and ensuring efficient execution.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of fabrics, pricing, trims, and accessories, making informed decisions to drive business success and optimize profit margins.
  • Maintain seamless communication with buyers, locally and internationally, building trust and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Create accurate costing sheets and price knit garments competitively, maximizing profit margins through thorough market research and analysis.
  • Analyze market trends, forecast sales, and identify opportunities to boost business growth, expand into new markets, and find new buyers through continuous market research and trend analysis.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive sales revenue, and establish a strong online presence, capitalizing on emerging trends and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of emerging trends and capitalize on opportunities in the global market, identifying new products and markets to pursue.
  • Plan and execute targeted marketing initiatives, segmenting buyers, researching buyer portfolios, and developing approach plans to maximize sales potential and drive business growth.
  • Establish a long-term plan for capacity and business growth, leveraging low costs and improving on-time delivery to drive sustainable success and profitability.
  • Analyze costs, negotiate prices, and arrange buying meetings with Buyers, ensuring optimal outcomes and maximum value.
  • Develop new products, analyze trends, forecast fashion, and source sustainable materials according to Buyer and company requirements, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer expectations.
**Requirements:**
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the knitted garments industry, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
