Job Overview
The role of the Credit Control Specialist is pivotal in ensuring customer engagements on credit matters are optimized for experience while effectively managing risk. This position requires collaboration with sales and operational teams to drive results.
Main Responsibilities
- Credit Risk Management: Analyze and report on Aged Debtors to identify potential issues, ensuring timely intervention to mitigate risks.
- Team Support: Review regular visit reports from the credit control team to provide guidance and support, facilitating effective collections management.
- Customer Communication: Drive proactive communication to manage timely credit and collections activities, improving working capital through strategic negotiation and relationship-building.
- Process Optimization: Regularly review processes and procedures to reduce debtor days, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Credit Applications: Evaluate credit applications and references to set credit limits, protecting company assets.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes.
- Working knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for complex customer interactions.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective multitasking and time management skills.
- Preferred qualifications: ICMAP, ACCA Final Part, or MBA completion.
