Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing high-availability infrastructure to support online and internal IT activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Collaborating with customers, developers, and partners on design decisions.
  2. Maintaining and updating systems, ensuring ongoing performance and reliability.
  3. Recommending and implementing standards, policies, and procedures to meet service levels.
  4. Providing expertise on the integration and architecture of commercial application packages.
  5. Developing lifecycle replacement plans, coordinating outages, and performing performance tuning for applications and hardware.
  6. Maintaining monitoring and data gathering systems for reporting and performance analysis.
  7. Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors to address and resolve issues.
  8. Working closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth planning, implementation, and system cutovers.
  9. Developing and maintaining the systems roadmap for lifecycle improvements, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  10. Participating in technical aspects of server technology, virtualization, storage, replication, and security projects.
  11. Providing technical support, operations, and problem resolution for systems infrastructure.
  12. Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
  13. Presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  14. Staying current with system trends and technologies to provide cost-effective and efficient systems.

Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies:

  1. Designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to support business operations.
  2. Ensuring security, availability, and performance of cloud services.
  3. Collaborating on migrating existing applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms.
  4. Utilizing Infrastructure as Code to promote automation where appropriate.
  5. Monitoring and optimizing cloud resource usage and costs.
  6. Staying updated with latest cloud technologies and best practices.
