We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead our cloud infrastructure and application optimization efforts. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate with development teams to enhance AWS resource management within the CCB environment, improving technical and financial performance. You will identify waste and inefficiency in public cloud services and develop optimization strategies, working with tools and infrastructure that automate routine optimization tasks using agile methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. They will have hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, as well as experience or desire to focus on FinOps practices in a large public cloud environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with development teams to optimize AWS resource management
  • Identifying waste and inefficiency in public cloud services and developing optimization strategies
  • Working with tools and infrastructure that automate routine optimization tasks using agile methodologies
  • Executing software solutions, designing, developing, and troubleshooting to deliver FinOps outcomes

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience or desire to focus on FinOps practices in a large public cloud environment

Familiarity with modern front-end or back-end technologies, experience with FinOps foundation best practices for cost optimization, and proficiency in coding in one or more languages are also desirable.
