Radiographer (Locum) Radiology

Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced radiographer to join our team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various radiological procedures as prescribed by clinicians, maintaining equipment and reporting any faults to the supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide patient information pre and post-radiological procedures. They will also need to conduct daily quality assurance activities and follow safety procedures, including radiation safety.

The successful candidate will be a qualified radiographer with at least two years of experience in the field. They will also possess good interpersonal skills and be familiar with diagnostic procedures and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiological procedures as prescribed by clinicians.
  • Maintain equipment and report faults to the supervisor.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance activities.
  • Provide patient information pre and post-radiological procedures.
  • Follow safety procedures, including radiation safety.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate in Science or a Bachelor's degree in Science.
  • At least two years of experience as a Radiographer or completed traineeship in Radiography.
  • Knowledge of film quality, patient positioning, and supplies handling.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic procedures and equipment operation.
  • Will to work in shifts.
