The Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Android Engineer to join our R&D department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our product, following and improving our way of working, enforcing and refining best practices, all while contributing to create a strong engineering culture.

Meet the Job Responsibilities

  • You will design, build and maintain capabilities for our mobile platform.
  • You will work in a multidisciplinary squad delivering end-to-end solutions from concept to fruition in production-ready applications.
  • You will translate complex business requirements into technical designs and implementations.
  • You will deliver high-quality, well-engineered software that is performant, clean and easy to maintain.
  • As a squad member, you will contribute to all aspects of product development, starting from gathering feedback & requirements and implementing actual functionality, to writing tests, documentation and providing adoption support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have 6+ years of experience working on complex Android-based products with at least 2+ years in a Senior role;
  • You are proficient in Kotlin and have knowledge of architecture patterns like MVP, MVVM, MVI and Clean architecture;
  • You have experience building and shipping modular Android libraries and SDKs and decorated APIs;
  • You have solid experience building complex UI with XML-based layouts and Jetpack Compose;
  • You have a solid understanding of multithreading and structured concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow;
  • You have technical experience with unit testing, UI testing, snapshot testing and debugging tools like Layout Inspector, Android Profiler and ADB;
  • You have experience with SDLC processes and CI/CD automation, Gradle, GitHub Actions or Bitrise, and deployment tools;
  • You have hands-on technical experience with non-functional features such as security, performance and accessibility;
  • You have strong communication, coaching and leadership skills and can thrive in a complex domain.
