Are you ready to embark on an adventure that pushes the boundaries of innovation? As a Lead Software Engineer within our Consumer and Community Banking Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology.

This is your opportunity to drive critical solutions across multiple technical areas, working with various business functions to achieve our firm's objectives. You will leverage your expertise to develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to improve operational stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build innovative solutions.
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, reviews and debugs code written by others, and identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Serves as the main point of contact during major incidents for your application and has the skills to identify and solve the issue quickly to avoid financial loss to the business.
  • Responsible for Code Reviews, Perf Test Results & Test Evidence and change requests before production deployment, and raising flags for any issues with code, test evidence, or change backout strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Experience managing applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on public cloud preferably AWS.
  • Proficient in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Fluent in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others.
  • Proficient with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
  • Proficient with container and container orchestration: ECS, Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
  • Actively self-educates, evaluate new technology, and recommend suitable ones.
