Director Enterprise Technology Operations Job Summary


This role is responsible for overseeing the operation of systems, servers, and cloud infrastructure to ensure system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure smooth operation of systems, servers, and services by managing their reliability.

  2. Manage migrations and upgrades to minimize downtime in a hybrid environment.

  3. Oversee cloud services including Azure and AWS, as well as Exchange Online, Entra ID, M365, and Exchange Online Protection (EOP).

  4. Manage on-prem and cloud infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Web Application Firewalls, Multi-Factor Authentication, and data backup and recovery solutions.

  5. Manage Network Operation Center (NOC) operations to ensure network uptime, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting network issues.

  6. Minimize downtime outside scheduled maintenance windows.

  7. Lead Security Operations Center (SOC) operations to detect, investigate, and mitigate security threats in a timely manner.

  8. Develop and implement cyber security strategies for incident response planning, vulnerability management, and proactive security measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience in managing systems, on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

  2. Expertise in server administration and management.

  3. Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Entra ID, M365, and EOP.

  4. Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.

  5. Expertise in Active Directory management.

  6. Experience with Exchange migrations and upgrades.

  7. Knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization.

  8. Experience with Web Application Firewalls.

  9. Proficiency in Multi-Factor Authentication solutions.

  10. Knowledge of data backup and recovery solutions.

  11. Experience overseeing SOC operations, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and mitigation of security threats.

  12. Experience managing NOC operations, ensuring network uptime, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting network issues.

  13. Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

  14. Ability to develop and implement cyber security strategies, incident response planning, and vulnerability management.

  15. Ability to educate and train staff on cyber security best practices.

  16. Commitment to delivering high-quality service to end-users and customers.

  17. Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.

  18. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  19. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 15 years of experience in managing on-prem datacenter systems and infrastructure, SOC/NOC operations, with at least 8 years of experience in managing cloud services.

  2. Preferred candidates will have 17+ years of experience with datacenters, SOC/NOC operations, and 10+ years with cloud services.

  3. A minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science, with a preferred Master's Degree in IT or Computer Science.
