HRSI is seeking a skilled Import and Export Specialist to join their team.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Monitor customs and transportation invoices to ensure timely submission to the finance department.
  2. Raise advance purchase orders for services from external parties promptly to maintain compliance.
  3. Liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals for imported raw materials, pack materials, and export shipments.
  4. Handle all necessary steps for customs clearance of imported items, ensuring key performance indicators for clearance days are met.
  5. Manage duties and taxes required for customs clearance.
  6. Arrange payment orders through bank portals.
  7. Monitor and apply for Goods Declarations in WeBOC and submit documents via Port Single Window (PSW) for timely customs clearance.
  8. Manage Import/Export Control Order quota approvals and related activities.
  9. Arrange transportation for material deliveries.
  10. Obtain necessary approvals from regulatory bodies for material clearance or sample submissions.
  11. Ensure accurate and prompt processing of inbound customs entries.
  12. Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, forwarders, carriers, clearing agents, and site management to gather required information for import shipments.
  13. Ensure timely delivery of invoices from vendors and liaise with finance and ICSS teams for three-way matching and payments.
  14. Coordinate responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent work output.
  15. Oversee shipment activities, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and proper execution by forwarders, carriers, and airlines.
  16. Follow up on advance payments for export orders and arrange financial transactions with banks.
  17. Liaise with shipping companies for submission of required documents such as Letters of Credit, bank certificates, and Bill of Lading formats.
  18. Communicate with import and transportation departments to ensure efficient and compliant product movement.
  19. Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, quality standards, and other policies as per law and guidelines.
  20. Ensure adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety policies and guidelines.

  • Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software used in customs clearance.
