Lead and Manage Financial Operations

The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong background in accounting, and the ability to drive financial operations forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Supervise preparation of periodic financial statements, schedules, and reports for internal and statutory use.

ERP System Oversight

  • Act as the functional owner of the accounting module(s) in the ERP (e.g., SAGE).
  • Coordinate with IT/ERP team for issue resolution, upgrades, UAT, and process improvements.
  • Ensure proper mapping of financial processes and controls within the ERP system.
  • Support digitization and automation initiatives within the Finance department.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor internal control procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) and timely filing of returns.
  • Liaise with auditors (statutory, internal, tax) and facilitate audit planning, execution, and closure.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to build strong technical capabilities and high performance.
  • Set KPIs and monitor team productivity, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Treasury, Legal, and Operations teams.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual intervention.
  • Ensure accurate management reporting, analysis, and reconciliations to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAGE) – implementation or ownership preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and coordination across departments.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • ACCA, CPA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) qualification is highly desirable.
