Lead Financial Operations Specialist

As a critical member of our financial team, the Lead Financial Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial records. This entails preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, and leading month-end and year-end close processes to guarantee timely completion and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers to maintain data integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals, to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and mitigate risk.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical and trend analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist with audit preparation to ensure a smooth process.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries to accurately reflect our assets and expenses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and ensure data integrity across the organization.
  • Review and improve accounting procedures and systems for efficiency and accuracy to drive process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed to ensure their success and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Intuit Enterprise accounting software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
