Job Title: Financial Operations Associate

About the Job:
The position of Financial Operations Associate is available in a dynamic and innovative organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the project manager in all aspects of financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements:
- Secondary education with specialized certification in accounting and/or finance. University degree in finance or accounting desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with bachelor's degree) of demonstrated related experience in UN or similar development projects or international organizations.
- Excellent financial accounting skills, including auditing and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, managing procurement contracts, and inventory.
- Experience of working with UN System or international organizations.
- Strong organizational knowledge and experience, including strategic planning, decision-making, self-management, emotional intelligence, conflict management, and negotiating skills.
