Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architecture Director to lead and manage the Cloud Portfolio (multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, etc.) within our organization. The ideal candidate will oversee the evaluation process to select, implement, and maintain the best cloud solutions for our business.

About the Role

  • The Cloud Architecture Director will work closely with internal and external teams to manage the development of scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms.
  • This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to guide requirement gathering activities with stakeholders and vendors, and work closely with concerned teams to maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices.
  • The Cloud Architecture Director will also be responsible for assessing risks, protecting sensitive data, and providing guidance on strengthening our overall security posture.
  • This role reports directly to the CTO Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Design and provide assurance of the platforms that underpin critical business services.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of solutions within cloud platforms/services, ensuring the availability and stability of all cloud services.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with our organization's goals and other strategies.
  • Carry out advanced impact analysis to understand how change will affect different components and produce estimates for planned changes to cloud platforms and services.
  • Oversee the governance and maintenance of cloud platforms and services, ensuring security measures are implemented to grant appropriate access and maintain system integrity.
  • Drive the development and implementation of standards of best practice in the cloud platforms within our organization.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of developments in the use of cloud technologies in delivering business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for cloud-related initiatives, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
