
Business Development Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, improving profitability, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Establish connections with key decision-makers in target organisations.
- Develop leads and conduct cold calls with prospective customers.
- Foster relationships with customers and clients through face-to-face meetings or phone calls.
- Analyse customer needs and create effective plans to meet those needs.
- Think strategically, setting goals and objectives to develop and improve the business.
- Implement operational changes by carrying out necessary planning.
- Create client contracts depending on the company's size and structure.
- Stay up-to-date with the company's products and services, providing advice to others as needed.
- Maintain a unified understanding of change across the organisation, training staff as required.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional strategies.
- Liaise with the finance, warehousing, and logistics teams as necessary.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business operations.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to stay informed about market trends.
- Help plan sales campaigns and negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers.
- Monitor sales performance and present findings to senior management.
You will work in an office environment, occasionally travelling for meetings with customers and business partners.
This role can be challenging, especially when seeking new business opportunities and meeting targets.
You may lead a team and manage their output.
Dress professionally, especially for meetings, although business casual attire may be acceptable at other times.
Night or overseas travel may be required, depending on the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in sales, marketing, or a related field.
- A strong drive to seek new business opportunities.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills and IT fluency, including spreadsheet proficiency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multitask.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

- Interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients.
