Job Title: Research Associate

This is a challenging research opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of an intervention targeting community-based Lady Health Workers.

About the Job

The position involves designing data collection tools, conducting fieldwork for research purposes, and analyzing data in collaboration with researchers. You will also manage field activities through recruitment, training, and supervision of the field team, and provide reporting and documentation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and program design, with experience in managing large datasets, data collection, quality checks, and presenting project findings.

The role requires excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data collection tools, conduct fieldwork, and analyze data.
  • Manage field activities, including recruitment, training, and supervision of the field team.
  • Clean datasets and perform data analysis using econometric and statistical techniques.
  • Coordinate with the team developing the mHealth software application and external partners.
  • Monitor compliance of RCT conditions.
  • Prepare progress reports and deliverables as needed.
Requirements
  • Background in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 3-4 years of relevant experience in research/program design and/or evaluation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of STATA for data cleaning and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ODK/SurveyCTO is preferred.
  • Ability to manage fieldwork in rural areas.
