The role of a Fleet Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet. Key responsibilities include scheduling maintenance, renewing necessary permits and licenses, and conducting trip cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Fleet Management: Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety standards.
  • Daily Vehicle Management: Oversee the availability of vehicles/drivers for field staff.
  • Coordination: Maintain close coordination with all sections to facilitate the smooth execution of daily work.
  • Maintenance and Fuel Costs: Establish and manage vehicle-wise 'Rate per Kilometer' and regularly update and monitor maintenance/fuel costs on a daily basis.
  • Trip Statements: Prepare and review trip statements comprehensively, identifying errors and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Losses and Mileage: Identify losses in trips and address mileage differences.
  • Financial Processing: Collaborate with the finance department to process fuel/maintenance bills, ensuring timely payments of due bills for vehicle maintenance and fuel.
  • Voucher Scrutiny: Scrutinize completed vouchers, identify errors, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Bill Compilation: Check and compile vehicle maintenance/fuel/lubricant bills.
  • Trip Statement Approval: Approve drivers' trip statements and possess knowledge of vehicle tracker monitoring.
  • Additional Assignments: Undertake any other assignments delegated by senior management.
  • Transport Team Membership: Serve as a member of the transport management team contributing to the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of the transport plan.
