Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, seasonal colors, patterns, and styles popular in the U.S. market. Collaborate with other teams to integrate insights into design planning.
  • Design Conceptualization: Develop mood boards and themes for each collection or season. Create storylines that reflect the brand's identity and target audience.
  • Material Selection: Work with suppliers to select high-quality leather and fabrics suitable for the designs. Ensure materials meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Pattern Development: Collaborate with pattern makers to create precise patterns for the designs. Review and provide feedback on initial patterns and prototypes.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the design team to ensure cohesion across all product lines. Coordinate with sampling teams to manage timelines and quality during prototype development.
  • Quality Control: Inspect samples and finished products for quality, design fidelity, and functionality. Address any issues in design or production that compromise quality.
  • Presentation and Feedback: Present final designs and prototypes to stakeholders for approval. Incorporate feedback to refine designs and enhance market appeal.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Creative Vision: Strong sense of aesthetics and ability to develop unique designs.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools. Knowledge of fabric properties and garment construction techniques.
