API Development Opportunity

This role involves designing, building, and enhancing extensive API-based services written in Golang.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Connectivity Engineer to contribute to the development of our Trading Platform while working closely with the Product Team based in London.

  • Designing and building APIs using Golang.
  • Contributing to and encouraging API adoption both internally and externally.
  • Writing comprehensive end-to-end feature tests and examples based on the API.
  • Supporting platform integration with Exchanges, Brokers, OTC Platforms.
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to ensure constant improvement and quality-assured delivery.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Commercial hand-on software engineering experience with 5+ years of relevant work history.
  • Crypto experience with CeFi and/or DeFi platforms.
  • Financial Services experience (Buy or Sell-Side).
  • Previously designed client-facing APIs.
  • Golang expertise or other structured languages (C#, C++, Rust).
  • Worked in cloud and containerized environments.
  • Proficient in building and using REST, WebSockets, and/or FIX-based APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent software design and debugging skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Nice to Have

The following skills are desirable but not essential:

  • Building performant low-latency systems.
  • Performance testing distributed systems.
  • Messaging/streaming technologies.
  • Execution, order, or portfolio management systems.
  • Building monitoring dashboards using technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana.
