Communications Expert Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Expert to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing daily communication updates, news, and organisational communications across our global network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal communications processes, ensuring resources are well utilised and coordinated to improve cross-organisational communications and messaging of our mission.

This position requires flexibility, as it involves managing activities at our head office and collaborating with country partners and volunteers.

  • Develop compelling stories to support our family in delivering our mission through various digital channels.
  • Create strategic communication plans that align with our mission, goals, and values, taking into account a global perspective.
  • Craft engaging narratives to effectively convey our impact, programs, and success stories across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Establish and maintain internal systems and processes to deliver on communication objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Marketing to ensure our storytelling is aligned with strategic communications priorities.
  • Support colleagues across our network to deliver effective communications from Pakistan that are focused, engaging, and relevant.
  • Ensure all internal communications, information, and resources are shared across our organisation in a timely and accurate manner, meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Share key news, updates, and event notifications from Country Partners with our network.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate and deliver training, webinars for Country Partners and Development staff.
Requirements
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly writing, editing, and reporting abilities.
  • Strong ability to gather relevant information from others.
  • Ability to deliver complex information clearly in various situations.
  • Capacity to work calmly under pressure to meet tight deadlines and balance competing priorities.
  • Able to work effectively across different cultures, with individuals who face competing demands.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to work independently while maintaining close connections with a team.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, business management, marketing, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • At least 6 years of work experience in a communications role.
