Reliable Cloud Native Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Reliability and Performance Engineer to design, implement, and manage monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog for infrastructure and application performance.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. The ideal candidate should have experience with Azure services (Azure Monitor, App Services, etc.) and expertise in Datadog for observability, monitoring dashboards, custom metrics, and alerting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of cloud-native services on Azure.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Automate monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows to reduce Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR) and improve operational efficiency.
  • Operate ServiceNow for efficient incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop preventive solutions for recurring issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to a blameless postmortem culture.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Operations Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure services.
  • Expertise in Datadog for observability, monitoring dashboards, custom metrics, and alerting.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring systems, logging, tracing, and incident management best practices.
  • Experience integrating and working with ServiceNow for IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Azure and/or Datadog.
  • Experience with other observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and frameworks.
