Junior Android Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a talented software engineer to fill this junior android developer role. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of professional experience in developing android applications and a solid understanding of java, kotlin, and mobile app development principles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and testing high-quality mobile applications for the android platform. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, working with outside data sources and APIs, and unit-testing code for robustness.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.

The android developer will provide support and troubleshoot computer systems as required; optimize performance, resolve problems, and provide timely follow-up. They will collaborate with enterprise and portfolio architects as well as the business area to analyze technical information and produce high-quality mobile solutions for the android platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build advanced applications for the android platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
