- Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen Health Systems: Design and implement programs to enhance the performance and capacity of health systems.
- Policy Development: Develop policies to improve health system performance and promote effective governance structures.
- Governance: Foster strong governance structures to ensure accountability and transparency within health systems.
- Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM): Establish and maintain CCMs to coordinate health initiatives and leverage resources effectively.
- Health Data Management: Collect and analyze health data to inform policy decisions and drive program implementation.
- Workforce Development: Develop strategies to address workforce shortages and enhance health system resilience.
- Disease Surveillance: Implement disease surveillance systems to detect and respond to outbreaks promptly.
- Research & Evaluation: Conduct research and evaluation to identify best practices and improve health system effectiveness.
