Teaching and Learning Experience

As a Lecturer in Medical Ultrasound Technology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet annual targets assigned by the Head of Department (HOD)
  • Work towards achieving a high-quality teaching and learning environment as set by the Dean/Principal of University
  • Teach assigned courses according to faculty workload policy
  • Assist in developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work, and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance
  • Contribute to the development of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions
  • Assess student's progress and provide feedback
  • Continuously develop own teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with academic colleagues and colleagues in practice
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements as necessary
  • Set, mark, and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students
  • Mentor 15-20 students as part of the Riphah Mentoring Program
  • Update data in VLE and other required software as per requirements
  • Link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching
  • Participate in departmental and university committee activities

Ensure that teaching content and methods of delivery align with RIU mission and respond to issues related to subordinates and student needs. To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
