Teaching Role in Medical Ultrasound Technology

Job Description:

As a medical ultrasound technology lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences for students.

  • Teach assigned courses to meet annual targets and contribute to the development of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records to monitor student achievement and attendance.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, facilitate experiential learning, and supervise student projects and field trips.
  • Liaise with academic colleagues and practitioners to ensure effective collaboration and good relationships.
  • Set, mark, and assess work and examinations, and execute mentoring of 15-20 students as per Riphah Mentoring Program.
  • Update data in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other required software as per requirements.
  • Link and incorporate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.
  • Participate in departmental and university committees and ensure teaching content and methods are aligned with RIU mission.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet annual targets assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
  2. Work to achieve appropriate targets set by the Dean/Principal of University to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment.
  3. Contribute to the planning of teaching programs and continue to develop own teaching and learning skills.
