Environmental Educator Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Educator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative education and sustainable development in Pakistan.

  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative courses and workshops on environmental education for various degree and non-degree programs.
  • Lead policy advocacy initiatives to promote sustainable practices in education and the broader community.
  • Engage in development projects, including those focusing on environmental sustainability, climate change education, and green schools.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental education into broader curricula.
  • Develop and implement community-based programs to address pressing environmental issues.
Responsibilities
  • BUILD STRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS TO DRIVE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY INITIATIVES.
  • MENTOR STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND JUNIOR FACULTY IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND ACTIVISM.
  • CONDUCT RESEARCH PROJECTS, DOCUMENTING AND DISSEMINATING FINDINGS TO INFORM POLICY AND PRACTICE.
  • REPRESENT THE INSTITUTE AT NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FORUMS ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND SUSTAINABILITY.

This role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of designing and implementing educational programs with an environmental focus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative courses and workshops on environmental education. They will also lead policy advocacy initiatives to promote sustainable practices in education and the broader community.

A Master's degree in Environmental Education or a related field is required, along with experience in running development projects related to environmental education and sustainability.
