VAT and Tax Consultant Role

We are seeking a skilled VAT and Tax Consultant to join our team. As a VAT and Tax Consultant, you will provide guidance on VAT implications for cross-border transactions, advise on structuring business transactions to ensure tax efficiency, and stay updated on changes in regional tax regulations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of VAT laws and tax regulations in GCC countries, familiarity with tax treaties and cross-border tax implications, and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. VAT Compliance: Prepare and file accurate VAT returns, ensuring timely payment of VAT liabilities and managing VAT refunds.
  2. Tax Advisory: Provide guidance on VAT implications for cross-border transactions, advise on structuring business transactions to ensure tax efficiency, and stay updated on changes in regional tax regulations.
  3. Tax Audit and Risk Management: Support and manage tax audits and queries raised by tax authorities, identify potential tax risks, and implement corrective measures to mitigate them.
  4. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with tax laws, provide training and updates to teams on VAT and tax-related changes.
