Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to spearhead our organization's Big Data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Azure Big Data services, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Define and execute the Big Data platform vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and leveraging Azure Big Data services.
- Capacity Planning: Lead capacity planning and contribute to PI planning for effective resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Big Data engineering team.
- Agile Facilitation: Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Planning, Retrospective, Review) and ensure efficient task assignment and resolution of blockers.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Pipeline Management: Ensure reliable operation and continuous improvement of Azure Big Data pipelines and platform.
- Project Execution: Drive project execution from backlog grooming to release management, including daily pipeline monitoring and P2 issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison for business and technical stakeholders, providing clear communication on project progress, performance, and addressing queries effectively.
- Data Governance: Champion data quality, governance, and security best practices within the Azure Big Data environment.
- Release Process: Ensure adherence to code review guidelines and contribute to robust release processes.
