Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to lead our software development projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, project management, and team leadership.

About the Position

This is a challenging role that requires a deep understanding of software development project management and lifecycle methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with J2EE Application Servers, messaging technologies, web services engines, and enterprise application integration platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in defining project requirements, designing solutions, developing software, and testing systems.
  • Develop business and technical specifications for improvement to new systems.
  • Track and communicate progress of project tasks against deadlines and provide measurable results to management team.
  • Identify and define opportunities for strategic improvements to processes to better service the business needs.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience with applications development project management and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Good international Microsoft management skills.
  • Experience managing technical teams including JAVA, C++, and C# developers.
  • Experience with software development, programming, and project management methodologies.
  • Experience in JAVA designing and developing commercial software or web-based applications.
  • Experience with XML technology: XML Schemas, XML Design and Development, XML Modeling, XSLT, XSL, XPath, XQuery, Java API for XML.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing server-side components for scalable and robust middleware architectures using J2EE Application Servers (Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss, Tomcat). Messaging technologies is desirable (MSMQ, MQSeries, Tibco, WebMethods, Weblogic Integration). Web services Engines (Apache Axis), Enterprise Services Buses (ESB), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) platforms, and Enterprise Information Integration (EII) platforms.
  • Experience in developing SOA infrastructure and Web services platforms and have practical experience using SOAP, WSDL, BPEL, etc., preferably with Apache Axis.

Education Requirements

  • Masters Degree and or Bachelor's Degree (BCS/MCS) in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
