HIV/AIDS Prevention Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HIV/AIDS Prevention Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating HIV prevention activities at national and international levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate HIV prevention activities, including program planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Provide technical assistance to government counterparts, NGOs, and UN system partners on HIV-related issues.
  • Support the development of strategic plans and proposals for HIV-related programs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of communication and information materials for HIV programming.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in medicine, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in public health programming, planning, and management.
  • Proven experience in HIV/AIDS programming, particularly in areas such as PMTCT, pediatric HIV care, and community-based HIV programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with UNICEF policies, strategies, and best practices on HIV-related issues.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Health Specialist UNICEF Sindh to develop, manage, and monitor HIV-related activities. The primary focus will be on supporting the follow-up of all activities related to the outbreak in Larkana Districts, with frequent visits to the field.
