Senior Technical Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing Unix and Oracle related accounts, providing Level 3 support for critical System Admin calls.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux and/or Unix, with a strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, web services, Tomcat, and Java.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage Unix and Oracle related accounts, providing Level 3 support for critical System Admin calls.
  2. Support UNIX or Linux servers for front and back office production environments.
  3. Perform daily system administration tasks within the UNIX/Linux infrastructure, including monitoring and diagnosing backup issues.
  4. Provide consultancy services for Development and UAT UNIX Environments, Backup and Storage Products, and Disaster Recovery.
  5. Automate processes using scripting skills (Shell or Perl).
  6. Develop and implement proactive methods to manage the environment.
  7. Undertake ongoing BAU and Project work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Linux/Redhat installation & administration.
  • Working with Volume Groups.
  • Comprehensive study & implementation of System backups for all flavours of Unix.
  • Performance Analysis experience.
  • Cluster software on Unix Flavours.
  • NFS/NTP/DNS/DHCP/ Network configuration on different Unix Flavours.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networks, DNS, web services, Tomcat & Java.
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP).
  • Shell scripting (ksh, perl).
  • Remote monitoring systems.
