Financial Reporting Specialist

Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support management decision-making.

This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial reporting software, and excellent communication skills.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted results.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management on financial performance.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in a reconciliation or accounting role.
  • Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCP) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
